Editor’s note: Sometimes Officer Mike rolls onto the range like a stray cat who has been out all night. I don’t know where he’s been or what he’s been up to. And am usually left with more questions than answers. This is one of those times.
Officer Mike: “Hey. Do you want an old steel target?”
Marky: “Sure!”
OM: “It’ll need some repair but it’s still usable”.
Marky looking at the target.
OM: “It took some AP rounds when I wasn’t looking”.
Marky: “I don’t know what that means. What kind of gun was it?”
OM: “A 1919 belt fed machine gun”.
M: Knowing Mike doesn’t own a 1919, “When did this happen?”
Officer Mike: “I was at a thing; at a buddy’s house.”
- Clean through.
- Some rounds may have hit ground and tumbled.
- Stand damage.
- See the “key hole”.
- No rounds through plate.
- Target must have collapsed.
