Mags, Mats and Shok-Buff’s

Generally it is accepted practice to have 3 mags on hand for a pistol to be “useable”. And that is true. For people who don’t really shoot that much.  But if you are a person who measures the number of rounds fired per year by multiples of 1000, three mags is the long way around to the barn door.  Here …

Blaser Tac 2 Protest Overwatch

With all the Marxist violence that has been taking place across the country, our nation’s SWAT teams have been very busy. Why you ask?  Simple. Do you know ahead of time if the planned protest in your neck of the woods will be peaceful? Or violent? SWAT teams don’t operate behind the curve. If things go sideways? They are ready. …

PSA- Stake Those Link Pins

It’s been a long time since I have seen one of these malfunctions. Probably because I haven’t seen a 1911 without a staked link pin in maybe 15 years.  So what am I talking about?  On a 1911 there is a barrel. A barrel link. And a pin that holds the two together. The slide-stop goes through the link when …

Wilson’s True Zero RDS Mount

We have received some questions and inquiries about Wilson’s red dot mounting system: True Zero.  The True Zero RDS mount consists of cutting the slide for interchangeable plates. These plates correspond to different makes of pistol optics. They also have a rear fixed site that is drift-adjustable.  This system is offered as both a factory OEM option or aftermarket.  At …

Privately Owned Mexican AR-10

I have held these photos for a while. My source in Mexico has a private gun collection. And most of what interests him are 7.62×51 battle rifles.  So it is no surprise that when he ran across a black-market Armalite AR-10, he snatched it up.  By looking at the markings, it is obvious this rifle originated it’s life somewhere in …

SCAR-20 Drama Queen

I wish I could say seeing the SCAR-20 get first round hits at range was a blasé thing. But frankly, the SCAR-20 has been quite the troublesome rifle.  Quite.  IMO, the biggest factor is the slow twist rate of the barrel. Something that many EU based rifle makers subscribe to. American shooters like heavy bullets for long range work.  The …

GA Precision FBI HRT Rifle

So Officer Mike and Doc were back at the 600 yard shooting position testing it out. Not the rifles, but the grade.  Should I put a permanent bench there? Or maybe grade it flat? Perhaps leave the hill to more accurately simulate real world shooting positions?  Not sure. Still deciding. But during all this, I got a chance to see …
