I know the subject of issued military handguns is always a hot-button topic among most firearms enthusiasts. I suspect the reason for this isn’t the significance or primacy of handguns in combat. They are secondary and rarely used.
But rather civilians live in mostly a handgun world. So any brand confirmation hits them right in the feels. But let us not forget, military service is primarily a rifle service. But at some level, some folks on that side of the fence get to choose what they want.
Many of you will be surprised. Others will be deeply disappointed.
