I have a JM930 and after getting a follower issue sorted out, it has been dead nuts reliable. I took a 4 day class at Front Sight with it and it cycled everything without failure.

    • Good to hear. Just one of many reports I get about how nice they are. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for listening to the podcast!

Wow… 55 already, where has all the time gone?! Unfortunately it is not just the F-Class shooters who are being dicks about the new guys. There is a local range who gave one of the regulars the boot from competing there for being just such the kind of pecker head that you described. I was not there, so I do not know the details, but what I heard from the grape vine was that he made a new female shooter cry over what he considered garbage gear that she had brought to the shoot. Just not cool.
My wife has instructed me to inspect items purchased from “Gander Mountain” to see if they are gold lined, because nothing but a gold lining would justify what they charge! And the employees act like they are doing you a favor by helping you. I only shop there if I have no other choice.
The SPAS is a very heavy shotgun and having to tote it was a form of punishment for a group that I am familiar with! That 10 pound beast with ammo was a real back breaker when added on top of your regular loadout. So much so that the offender would do their utmost never to repeat the offense that caused them to be singled out for “date night” with the SPAS.
The FN shot counter is going to be a very useful add-on for folks who are big into round counting, and also for unit armorers who need to keep track for spring cycle changes and study of wear on the firearm itself, as long as it does not cost more than $200.-. If more than that… then it is F#ck No!

    • Hmmm….I’ll have to investigate. Is the folding stock heavier than a fixed polymer stock? I don’t recall the last time I touched a SPAS with a folding stock? 15 years ago?

I am certain that the fixed stock is going to be much more comfortable.
