One of my favorite past times is reconnaissance. I’m weird like that. I’m a natural patroller. So when we show up to hunt a new ranch, I thoroughly enjoy getting the lay of the land. On foot. Jeep. Or even by air. It’s always enjoyable to go on a “walk-about”. At least for me anyway.
- Compadre 1 loaded up in his jeep.
- Over the top of the Jeep. Rifles at the ready for that chance encounter.
- The brush is very thick in some places.
- Compadre 2 scanning the right.
- Notice compadre 2’s Remington LTR.
- Longer ranges. Compadre 1 took a 750 yard shot this trip.
- Over The Top.
- Sun setting. Heading back in.
These pics are from a Texas pig hunt we did in 2016. 3000 acres in total. Not Montana big, but huge by East Coast standards!
