LAW-12 Buffer Installed

Ok. Buy reader request. We did a post about changing out the buffers on both a SPAS-12 and LAW-12. You can see them both HERE & HERE. Well…it seems we only showed the preliminary takedown of the LAW and a reader wanted to see the receiver taken all the way down, with the new buffer installed and what the old …

Stoeger Tactical SxS

I saw this in my local gun shop a while back. And on paper I should be hating everything about it. But I have to confess, there was something endearing about this Stoeger SxS.  It was light. Handy. Synthetic furniture. Simple. Easily accepts a red-dot. Already has a flashlight mounted. And even the stock sleeve allows for more ammo to …

SHS-27: Excell Shotgun (Benelli clone)

I made few mistakes, but those are noted in the video so you don’t. Special thanks to the SPAS-12 Project for the support on getting …

Mossberg 590 Upgrades

This will be a picture heavy post with little description since it’s self explanatory. Shown is a Mossberg 590 I purchased back in the 1990’s. It is not the A1 since the trigger guard is plastic and it lacks a heavy barrel. Understanding that a good SD shotgun needs a light, I never put one on this 590. Why? Because …

SPAS-12 Broken Buffer Confirmed

As we reported earlier, the SPAS-12 shotgun starting falling apart as soon as we racked it. As suspect, the original rubber buffer system has dried out and disintegrated with age. As you will notice with the hard, translucent yellow pieces seen here. A replacement part will be ordered ASAP.   Marky www.john1911.com “Shooting Guns & Having Fun”
