The Pulled-Pork Express

Had some inquiries about the pig hunt. Specifically in the article “Pig Processing”. Freeze makes a references to “Taking the company trailer” to bring as many pigs home as possible.

So here is a photo of the “Pulled Pork Express”.

Crew-cab truck.
Double-axel trailer.
Secured and hardened truck-bed cover.
Big V8 Engine to pull it all.

We easily could have loaded up thousands upon thousands of pounds of pig meat if needed. While I will be the first to admit this was aspirational, it’s better to have it and not need it. Than need and not have it.

Was it Daniel Boone or Simon Kenton who said, “Whenever you go into indian territory, always drive a big V-8”?

Traveling through Texas, the only thing missing from your rig was a “we don’t rent pigs” sign. That is about the only “Lonesome Dove” reference that I know!
