This is a Model 1891 Target Pistol. Although they were made in several calibers, these particular examples are chambered in .22 RF. It has a 10.5 inch, octagon barrel.
The production run on the .22 target model was very low at around 100. And these are pretty rare today.
They were not a very popular pistol in the days of the revolver, but they still had a presence and several foreign militaries purchased them, along with the Rolling Block Rifle.
Any fan of the .22 caliber, whether single-shot or multi-shot, would be happy to have this addition to their collection. However they are a difficult and expensive item to acquire.
