Another in the 1911 friendly drill series, here is an oldie but goodie. Table Top Loading of a 1911. Hammer down. Magazine and pistol setting on the table.
If you are looking for a way to practice loading, or reloading magazines at an indoor gun range, this drill is for you. You can run this drill as fast as you can and the Range Safety Officer can’t complain about you shooting too fast.
Final thoughts. Don’t dismiss the drill out of hand. Loading a pistol is important. And practicing that on a single stack gun is even more important. Set it up right and the skill will directly feed into loading / reloading from a mag pouch.
Pistol – Ed Brown Executive Elite. 45ACP. Ivory grips. No magwell. Blue finish.
Sincerely,
Marky
