Browning Automatic Rifle Model D

Took these photos while visiting the Cody Firearms Museum a while back. How often does one get to eye an uncommon BAR variant? The Model D. 

• Bipod? Check.
• Weird fore-end? Check. 
• Pistol Grip? Check.
• Weirdly shaped stock? Check. 
• Super expensive cooling fins? Check. 
• Battle Rifle Caliber? Check. (8mm Mauser).
