After a lot of shopping and looking around, we have decided to pickup a Massey-Ferguson 4707 tractor. This particular example as it’s configured weighs 11,000lbs.
A two spindle brush cutter deck is coming with it. And we are still looking for a FEL mounted cutter for lane management.
The really interesting thing about this unit is it does NOT have a DPF system or use DEF fluid. They get away with it by detuning a much more powerful engine that burns pretty clean.
Also a fun fact, I can buy an aftermarket “chip tune-up” kit that will up the HP to 93 or even 110hp. Torque is upped as well. Do I plan on doing that? No. But it’s nice to know it’s there down the road in case I discover I want for power.
This project has taken way, way too much of our time the last two weeks. I can’t wait to just get back to shooting guns & having fun.
