Well…it has taken the better part of 20 years, but our “sporting gun” has finally passed the 1000 rounds fired mark.
Since I am not a sporting gun kind of guy, I didn’t appreciate how “not used” this gun was until a shotgun professional pointed out that the action hinge is still tight.
If you pay attention to me opening the gun on video, it is noticeable that I still have to manually hinge the gun. I was told once a gun gets some real volume through it, they tend to fall-open once unlocked.
If that is true, at the rate we are shooting this thing, it probably will have a service life of at least 5000 years.
