So…it was a 1 degree day with winds gusting from 15-20mph. And “Officer Mike” wanted to see the rifle range progress. And I wanted to do some target maintenance.
Have to admit, when we discussed setting this day up; I didn’t know it was going to be so cold. When I figured it out, I half expected him to cancel. I think most would have. But not, “Officer Mike”. Didn’t even cross his mind.
SWAT snipers need to shoot rain or shine. 20 degrees below zero or 110 Fahrenheit. When the call comes it, they can’t say no.
Mike impressed me that day. But don’t tell him. I don’t need him to get a big head. He’s already a better shooter than me.
😉
Sincerely,
Marky
