This image has been around a while but the issue is so important that I think it warrants a post on our website.
What you see here is an old leather holster that is no longer safe for carry. Hopefully our readers understand the issue without me having to explain it like it’s your first day on planet Earth.
So…the next time you hear someone say, “This holster was given to me by my great-great-great-great sperm-donor” I hope your ears perk up and you recall this image. While equipment needs to be made to a professional standard to earn a place in rotation, that same gear needs to be checked to confirm it still holds to that standard to stay in rotation.
This holster is long past it’s useful service life and is a nightmare.
