Had some visitors to the John1911 range. There was a request to shoot a few rifles. But what surprised me the most was One, a desire to shoot the Steyr AUG. I suspect because it was white and stood out on the rack. And Two, how much these folks REALLY, REALLY liked it afterwards.
It was their favorite rifle by far.
I would have bet money the AUG would have been instantly hated. Maybe there is something about the AUG’s ergonomics that appeals to people with zero rifle experience? Size? Balance maybe? Who knows. But it was noticeable and weird.
