Being a dyed in the wool MILSURP collector, I think this rifle ticks all the boxes for him. Modern enough for all the ergonomic benefits; but historically significant enough to be collectible.
The M16A4 is to the GWOT generation what the M16A1 was to the Vietnam generation. Hopefully some will understand why we traded for the ACOG?
It makes this rifle correct. Not necessarily better.
