Ok. Time to get a sling on this rifle. Still using the Edger Sherman product. Also instead of using the QD mounts up front, I just stayed with the Blue Force Gear wire style sling connectors.
QD stuff to me seems clunky, noisy and unnecessarily heavy. I did try to mount the sling up front by the can, but there wasn’t enough room to get the ball head passed the suppressor wall.
I will also have to watch melting heat and contact with the barrel. Not so much worried about the melting part. Comes with the territory on hot rifles, but I don’t want stuff hitting the barrel affecting harmonics.
