Another project that needs to be addressed. The Benelli B76 recoil spring. It’s either out of spec, under sprung for 124g ammo, or simply worn out.
The problem is the encapsulated recoil spring used a c-clip / snap ring to hold it together. And that clip is so small I can’t seem to figure out how to get it off.
Finally another concern, I can’t be too aggressive in pulling the c-clip off since Benelli isn’t making the gun anymore. So sourcing a replacement part from them is probably no longer possible.
