So while I was test shooting the SIG 551 truck gun, I kinda had a revelation about tac rifle zeros. I might drop the 50 yard zero on these guns.
After having shot so many years with a 100 yard zero, I noticed my mind defaulting to that on the rifle range out to distance. Not saying there is anything wrong with the 50 or 25 yard zero, it’s just for me I think 100 is where I am most comfortable. At least for 5.56 caliber guns.
At much shorter distances, I am perfectly comfortable with AR / RDS off-set with a 100 yard zero since…again…I have been doing it that way for so long.
Not preaching a philosophy, just showing where my mind is at today.
Sincerely,
Marky
