Saw these pics in the news and figured it was worth addressing here. Soldiers in Ukraine are taking what bolt action they have and are modernizing them to current battlefield use: modern optics, suppressors, bipods, cheek pieces and butt-pads.

Looking at these pictures, I am certain a lot of MILSURP gun forum types are losing their minds. But form follows function in the real world. And in Eastern Europe, the Mosin a very common bolt action rifle, the ammo is standard and the Soviets made literally ten of millions of them.
So sure, most of these guns are probably not 1 MOA rifles. But on human sized targets, 500 yards and in, shooting from a hide, I’d bet these “Mosinka’s” have killed their share of dudes.

And finally…to circle back to the form follows function statement. Mark my words. The Mosinka format of gun WILL become a collectable standard that cloners the world over shall obsess over. Documented picture after documented picture.
Want to get ahead of the price curve? Start looking at these Mosinka pictures and pickup the documented accessories, no matter how cheaply made, right now. Because in our lifetime, we will see “clone correct” Mosinkas pulling significant dollars on the gun auctions.
Sincerely,
Marky
