Inquiring minds want to know: Where have we been? After numerous inquiries and jokes from readers, here is the answer.
We are finishing out the final phase of the range expansion & construction project.
Here are the projects:
- Build parking lot by range barn.
- Build small, all weather range off of barn porch.
- Build gravel road from range barn to Shooting Pit & Rifle Range.
- Expand privacy hedge row by the street.
- Install utility gravel 360 degrees around range barn.
- Rifle range – Correct dangerous grade 100-500 shooting position.
The corrected grade. Still needs top soil. - Install a new berm in The Shooting Pit to enable 360 degrees of fire.
The pictures shown here are no where near the finished product. For example the new berm in The Shooting Pit in WAY bigger than shown in these images.
If I can get the weather to hold off this week, we’ll get the gravel down. But unfortunately, the prediction is for 8 days of rain out of the next 10. Almost all pop up thunderstorms. So the decisions will have to be made on a day-by-day basis.
