Properly Kitted FRF2

A friend and MILSURP collector sent us a photo of his FRF2 rifle with factory correct scope & base. He has been made aware of the issues we are having getting a base from Navy Arms, and wanted us to see what the correct French military base looks like.

His message is as follows:

“…there is a “correct” scope we can buy here pretty easily. The French Air Force used a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10

The old APX scopes were largely phased out in favor of the Scrome J8, but the French have retained the J8s and they have been out of production for years. If you do find an APX, it needs to be the correct optic for the FR series. I don’t believe there are any of the proper Scromes stateside.

So out of impatience I slapped the NXS on my rifle. If it puts your mind at ease, they are very good shooters. “
