The best way for me to get used to a retention holster is to practice using it while actually trying to do something else: Like work a gun for example. I don’t want to focus on beating retention. I want to focus on drawing and shooting. Big difference.
How is it going? Meh. I am having some issues with this rig, but I can’t rule out user error. I suspect the X300 isn’t quite setup correctly, which “might” be causing some hangup issues.
But the positive side is the holster will eat anything as long as the pistol has an X300 stuck to it!
It’s a slow process, and will take time. And reps. As for the Wilson EDC X9L? My confidence is growing with every range session. I expect it will be my carry gun as soon as I find, or modify, an AIWB rig to accept the SRO.
Sincerely,
Marky
