Been meaning to do this for a while. After all the range construction comes to an end, we need to install a fire pit. But why this metal monstrosity and not just a ring of rocks?
The answer is easy: flexibility.

I have a need for a fire down in The Pit some seasons, possibly by the rifle shelter and up by the barn in the winter and fall. So instead of installing something that was stuck in one place and hard to cut around. We went with a big metal pot that I can move (with the tractor) and is easy to cut around.

Side note: Yes, we still have the stainless steel burn barrel for actual productive burning. This metal fire put is all about hanging out after a long day of shooting.
Sincerely,
Marky
