While putting an Aimpoint on the SIG 551 rifle, I noticed the Scalarworks mount kept coming lose at the bench. After a number of tries, we reached out to Scalarworks and asked if there was a known issue with 55x series rails.
They indicated they were not aware of any, so we went ahead and shimmed it with a pop can.
Something like this isn’t unheard of. Especially when dealing with non-standard weapons.
