The Grim Reaper Comes For Ruger

I guess I’m just the grim reaper for new revolvers these days. Just picked up a Redhawk in 22 Hornet, which I was going to write about, but it’s gotta go back to the factory first.

Scratches on the recessed crown / face.

Super rough finish inside and out. Had a chance to fire it and on the 14th round it locked up like a son of a bitch. Took about 15 minutes to get the cylinder open (cue the “revolvers never malfunction crowd”).

Forcing cone all bunged up.

Here are some pics, if you would like a write up on this let me know. Otherwise I’ll wait until I get it back and it’s working properly.

22 Hornet Ammo. Rough chambers produced fire formed rings. Causing extraction issues..
