I occasionally get questions about what my preferred carry holster is. I purchased this some months ago and have been giving it a fair shot. Truth be told, it has been worn everyday. And will continue to be so. It’s an appendix design. I have always preferred appendix style carry for about 20 years. Back in the day, we used to call it “cross draw”, but the cool kids always told me someone was going to take my gun.
Well…I’ve been in many scrums and it never happened. And when piled up on the ground with someone, I have better awareness of it’s presence which gives me control of it.
Downsides? For me….truthfully…I probably don’t draw as fast with this holster as I would from a full blown 3 O’clock rig. For me, it’s a matter of needing to practice and having to drive my strong hand thumb behind the pistol. But being appendix, no one ever makes my gun. Where at 3-4-5 o’clock, close inspection has a much higher degree of detection.
I am not endorsing. I am not criticizing. I am not judging. You carry what you want how you want.
