Looks like Tisas is recalling 6 models of 1911 within specified serial number ranges. Looking at the text, it appears these guns suffer from hammer follow.
In short the sear engagement with the hammer hooks isn’t right and the only thing stopping the guns from going off, without touching the trigger, is the half-cock safety.
Any 1911 that shows this trait is to be declared unsafe and taken out of service immediately. If your Tisas is in the suspected range of the recall, we recommend you send it in.
