XTEK Mags in a Blaser Tactical 2
So real quick. We have sourced some aftermarket Blaser Tactical 2 mags out of Australia. They are made by a company called XTEK. I have covered this product before on our website through the years.
Well…my source in Australia reached out and wanted to confirm that their XTEK mags do fit in the OEM Blaser Tactical 2 chassis. Having not shot them yet, I figured I better pull the Blaser out of The Armory and film a quick test.
Yes. They fit. No tolerance issues observed. Which is what I expected since I am certain the Australian Army would want the technical data package for the mags from Blaser as part of getting awarded the sniper rifle contract.
As for the small hitch I observed when closed, please note I am testing with the wrong bolt installed and no barrel. It’s entirely possible that a 338LM bolt and barrel would clear that hitch up as well.
And for the record, the amount of pressure I am putting on the mag to get it to drop free in that situation is measured in ounces. It’s very, very light. Almost just kissing the mag with my finger.
