So for this year’s Cold Start Competition, we are at 12 degrees with the overnight low being down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit. The tractor has been sitting for just over a week.
And she starts first try. How do we do it? One, we run the range tractor all year round. And two, we start putting anti-gel treatment into the diesel at the beginning of November. At every fill up.
Why? It’s important to just not have the no-gel additive in the gas tank, you need to actually have it circulated through the engine before it gets cold.
Sincerely,
Marky
