Saw this early this morning and it was news to me. So perhaps it’s news to you? Shooting Surplus has bulk, full power 6.8×51 ammo available.
460rd ammo cans for $1176.

920rd crate of 2 ammo cans for $2352.

This ammo all appears to be in “kind-of” military packaging, but all the markings and tags look commercial. Perhaps this is old news, but I haven’t personally ever noticed bulk pricing being available for the true military 6.8 round. So now we know the prices. Either way, this works out to about $2.55 a shot.

While not completely undoable in the realm of military ammo. The practical effect is this will be treated more like sniper ammunition or precision rifle ammo by the civilian end user.
So…do any of you know of any civilians running full power 6.8×51 in a precision rifle role? If so, how’s it going? Somebody must be buying this stuff.
Sincerely,
Marky
