RIP – Marc Krebs
Word came across my desk that ole Marc Krebs passed away this weekend. While not a marquee name by modern social media standards, Marc Krebs is a name that has been around my circles for about 30 years.
And this one might come as a shock to some readers; but we first knew of Marc and his work when he was doing custom 1911 and revolver projects. This predates his AK work and was in the mid to late 1990’s.
I do recall the very first time I ever saw his “Krebs Style” AK Safety and have watched from afar as he became more of a rifle builder than 1911 builder.
Unfortunately my access to some of those early Krebs handguns has been lost to history. So if you have a Marc Krebs story you wish to share, or better yet a pic of a Krebs firearm, leave it in the comments below.
