So I got a chance to handle Doc’s M17 today. Trigger is heavier than I like. But I suspect it will smooth-in. The thumb-safety is much easier to disengage than re-engage. On this example anyway.
But what I found most interesting is it is functionally the same footprint as the 5” M1911. Seen here next to my 5” EDC X9L 1911.
