Fog Light Color – Grenadier
While some cops were at the range, they took an interest in the INEOS Grenadier. Which isn’t unusual. It gets quite a few looks while out in the public. But what one of them said got my attention.

There is a law that civilian vehicles can’t have certain color lights on the front or roof of their car. Which obviously makes sense when you think about the ramifications.
The fog lights on the front of my Grenadier are upgrades. Firstly, the dealer rewired them so they can be activated when NOT in off-road mode. And secondly, they installed a set that are color selectable. Red, Green, Orange, Purple. Maybe blue. Not sure. But there are a lot of color options.
The problem was I didn’t know HOW to change the selection so left them on red after taking delivery a few months ago. It only became a problem on the street during a bad ice storm.

I was occasionally getting flashed by vehicles stuck in the snow and ice. Took me a minute to realize that this big, boxy, unfamiliar looking vehicle, with red lights on the front might appear as some kind of fire department command vehicle or maybe an ambulance.
That’s no good.
So finally got the lights figured out. INEOS informed me I was toggling the wrong switch. Now I have orange, fog lights that will match the orange turn signals when activated.
And for those wondering, I am still loving the truck. Just this week I rolled 12,000 miles and had it in for it’s first official service. More on that to come.
Sincerely,
Marky
