So while at NRA I was looking at a long term project for us. An automatic clay bird thrower. Not knowing much about them, chatted up the first guy we saw.
Two kinds: A simple thrower shown for $1800 and a more complicated, computerized-random thrower for over $3000.
We are NOT setting up a sporting clays station or anything like that. I just figure one bird thrower on our rifle range hill would do the trick. Meaning WE could move around the thrower to get all the possible angles.
Also…between you and me, I feel like tac teams shooting down surveillance drones while locking down a barricaded suspect will be a thing. I mean sure $500,000- 1Million will buy the best anti-drone system in the world. But sometimes, and just sometimes, the answer is bird or buckshot. Not a net or some microwave gadget that will give officers ball-cancer.
Any feed back from people more knowledgeable about throwers please chime in.
Sincerely,
Marky
