Knocking this off the to-do list. First shots with the Marlin Papoose rifle. Also known as the Marlin Model 70P. It’s a 22rimfire, takedown, camping, survival, pack rifle.
Seems to be in good shape and functions well. The scope is zeroed but the eye relief is a little off. I’ll probably still move it rearward. The gun has all it’s papers, takedown tool, manual and two 7 round, single stack, metal magazines. Additionally, it has a factory Marlin, 15 round extended mag. All plastic and it looks quite complicated.
The good news is everything functions fine so after some small tweaks it will get cleaned and racked in the armory.
Sincerely,
Marky
