Wanted to give an update on the Greenworks 80v electric chainsaw. LAST SEEN Feb 2021
First…Yup. We still have it.
Second, it doesn’t get used for Biblical work. That is done by the big-boy Stihl. What’s Biblical work you ask? You know. Things like straight-line winds, tornados, plague (Emerald Ash Borer). Anything that knocks down 10 to 50 trees, we use the big saw.
But…Third…the Greenworks 80v really shines in one very specific need on the John1911 gun range: A tractor saw. Meaning one that is powerful enough to cut something big, should I stumble across it. But yet small enough to still fit in the cab of the tractor.
But here’s where it gets really cool. I don’t know how Greenworks does this, but their saw doesn’t leak bar oil at all. Not a smear or even a drop. Zilch. Nada. Nothing.
So it’s a moderate sized saw that isn’t out classed by the bigger trees. But doesn’t leave a mess where ever it sits. Oh…and no matter how long it sits, it always “starts”.
For the average home gamer who might use a chainsaw once or twice a year, but wants a bigger saw just in case, the Greenworks 80v saw is worth the money.
Sincerely,
Marky
