So these came in this week. Two barrels from a custom barrel / gun maker out of Utah. J. Sip & Sons.
They make custom Blaser R8 and R93 barrels as well as other more traditional turn-bolt guns.
What we have here are a match weight, fluted, threaded barrel in 300PRC. And the second barrel is a semi-weight custom made barrel in 7.5 Swiss.
Yes, you read that right. 7.5×55. The same caliber that you feed to your K31 straight-pull MILSURPS. As for why? Simple. We have 3 cases of GP11 ammo.
So…if you are looking for a custom Blaser R8 or R93 caliber or twist rate? Yes, they can do it. Because believe you me, they NEVER made a 7.5 barrel before I asked for it. But gosh darn, they made it!!!

And to really pile on the point. At the time of this writing, they are making 450 Bushmaster, 350 Legend and even a muzzle loader barrel for the Blaser R8 guns.
So all you straight-wall restricted hunters? Now you can use your Blaser R8 at home, not just in Africa or some high-dollar driven hunt in Europe.
