Ran across this at Shooter’s Supply and thought it was worth getting a few pictures. Here we have a HK-91 clone, made in Greece, and imported by Springfield Armory, during the Assault Weapons Ban.

It’s a thumbhole stock, but not really. “Pistol” braces weren’t the first hustle to get by the BATFE.

I remember back in the day how horrified we all were by these stocks. But anymore, now that the AWB is gone, it seems these have become slightly collectible.

Would make an interesting project gun for someone. Upgrading the furniture and all that. But since we already have a PTR-91, there is no need to have two HK-91 clones.

I am not 100% certain if standard G3 stocks fit on this, but it does seem to have the typical HK91 two-pin setup.

So…thought it was neat looking and some of you might find it interesting. Did you buy a HK clone during the ban and subsequently get rid of the thumbhole stock? If so, leave me some pics in the comments below. I would like to see how these guns are configured these days.
