EFAB (Enhanced Flash Arresting Brake) from Precision Armament is a unit that combines muzzle control with effective flash suppression even on barrels as short as 10 inches. Its technology uses an innovative configuration of diverging expansion nozzles to both diffuse and cool combustion gases resulting in maximum recoil reduction with minimum concussion to the rear and sides of the shooter while its closed bottom reduces the dust signature when shooting prone. It’s precision machined from heat treated stainless steel with an advanced Ionbond high temperature CrCN coating for extreme durability and features a pilot hole for permanent pinning to bring 14.5″ barrels to legal length. Available in .223/5.56mm with 1/2-28 threads, or .308/7.62mm with 5/8-24 threads.

In 2008, Mayer returned to the editorial side of publishing, this time in the digital field, as Editorial Director for Guns & Ammo, Shooting Times, Handguns and Rifleshooter online magazines. After a brief stint in 2011 as the Digital Media Director for an ABC TV affiliate, Mayer returned to the outdoors industry and Safari Club International where he is currently Assistant Publisher and Multi-Media Communications Editor.
