Another item on the 2025 John1911 Armory project list is to finally SBR the SCAR-16s. I like the SCAR. Ran it for quite a while. And while I suspect current thinking has left the SCAR program behind, I have always been super interested in trying out the SCAR as it was intended: a much shorter, military length barrel.
What the barrel length will ultimately be is yet to be determined. But if I were to guess, it won’t 10” on the low end, and probably not 14.5 on the higher end.
I think looking closely at the military manufactured SCARS will provide guidance on the best length to choose.
Finally: What are the NFA wait times for SBR stuff? Is it as short as the suppressor turn around times?
Sincerely,
Marky
