SHS46: Chinese SKS
On this episode we are looking at a gun that is no longer being imported into the United States. It is a Chinese made SKS. This rifle appears to be in good shape mechanically and cosmetically.
The only “ding” I can find to give it is the non-matching stock number. But all the mechanical parts do match. So it is fair to assume that at some point during it’s life, the stock needed to be replaced.
Here are the particulars:
- Maker: Norinco of China.
- Model: SKS.
- Importer: Century Arms.
- Caliber: 7.62×39.
- Sling: Correct military style.
- Numbers matching? No. Stock does not match serial # to gun.
- Bayonet: integral. Spike style.
- Import status: Not imported since 1989.
