With all the news coming out of Europe because of their radical Islam problem, I thought this would be a good opportunity to talk about something our readers might find interesting: the various rifles and weapons one will see being used by the Belgian authorities.
I suspect the average US gun owner doesn’t appreciate just how legendary the Belgium firearms industry is. In the US, when one thinks of Connecticut and NY as being the home of major US gun makers, one needs to recognize Liege, Belgium as the home of MANY legendary firearms: FAL, FNC, FS2000, Browning Hi-Power, A5 Shotgun, among many others.
In fact, when the Germans overran Belgium, the factories were kept running and weapons for the Axis powers were soon cranking out the door. In my darkest nightmares, one wonders what will become of Europe and who they might be making weapons for 50 or 100 years from now?
