Benelli B76 Recoil Spring Retaining Ring
Getting back on schedule around here with projects. Today I am having major frustrations with a retaining ring. Some of you may want to call it a snap ring, but it lacks those little ears to grab it by.
This itty-bitty ring is at the end of the recoil spring assembly, thus encapsulating it.
After doing some testing I believe this recoil spring is weak and has never been changed. Doubly so if one wants to shoot our standard 124g 9mm load. So off it must go.
The image you see of the ring is captured looking through a 8x jewelers loupe. It’s small, rotates freely, and is giving me all kinds of fits today.
Sincerely,
Marky
