Colt 6530 – Is It Valuable?
We picked up an old Colt A2 Carbine not that long ago. It’s labeled as a Colt Sporter Lightweight and is cataloged as the Colt 6530.
To me, the long barrel seems a little weird looking. Also since it’s missing the bayonet lug and has other ban-era neutered features, is this a desirable and collectable gun? Or is it a good base gun for one of those movie-gun projects: HEAT, Blood Diamond, Gordy Carbine?
I am inclined to set it back in The Armory as a reference gun, but wanted to ask all of you if I am missing an opportunity here?
