Picked Up a Glock 17L
I don’t normally like to buy guns this way: panic buying. But in my defense I had been eyeing a 17L for over 2 years. So when Glock suddenly announced they were dropping the GEN 5 as a form of lawsuit defense, I knew I had to act fast.
Firstly, I didn’t expect to see a GEN 6 17L anytime soon. Secondly, we didn’t really know if the GEN 6 was going to be the gun that finally broke Glock. I.e. a turd. And finally, if the GEN 5’s are going to be desirable? We should break down and finally get one just because we don’t have one.
So that is what we have done. A Gen 5 Glock 17L. Haven’t handled or shot a 17L since the 1990’s. Back then I thought the gun was totally impractical and stupid. These days, with some wisdom, experience, and my own bullseye range, the 17L has a lot more appeal. Especially one that isn’t as slick as a bar of soap.
