Been sitting on this one for a bit. Some months ago, Chad reached out and wanted my opinion on a mass produced 1911 vs a semi-custom gun.
For the price these flagship production guns are running, my advice was to buy a used custom. Why? They will be quality guns. Most “gun guys” don’t shoot that much so their “used” guns are mechanically like new. But you get that not-new discount.
Well…he popped up with a used Wilson CQB. Perfect. Let someone else take the deprecation hit while you bank quality and durability below market.
