POTD — Beretta 92 – M9

A customer sent us a funny image inspired by a t-shirt design we sell. A Beretta 92F with a blank firing adopter stuck in it’s barrel.

Some of you will get the joke. Some won’t. Which is why the shirt is so popular.

I wonder if he ever actually tried to shoot blanks with that thing. That would be interesting, to be sure.

    • Nothing would happen. Except maybe the device falling out.

Assuming he is using blanks of course.

        Yeah, probably true.

Is the joke that anything less than a.45 is like firing blanks? Otherwise, I am in the dark on this one…

    • The original joke was the idea of giving a sidearm to a green officer so he doesn’t hurt himself. But like most jokes, the punch lines are kinda writing them selves. I just like the design. It can mean whatever you want it to mean.

I see… There have been a few who I was worried about even having something anymore dangerous than a pointy stick, but if they were willing to listen to the senior NCO’s, they could usually be guided along without getting anyone killed until they learned a skill or two!

          As a former For/Recon mustang officer(USMC ’63-’69, RVN “65-’69 ) I concur with Brennen Munro’s assesment !
