Robinson M96 BREN Kit

The Robinson M96 is a 1990’s creation that got it’s inspiration from the Stoner 63 rifles used during the Vietnam War. And just like the Stoner, the M96 was user configurable. It has quick change barrels and is convertible to a belt-feed and top-feed option.

The top-feed is known as the BREN Kit. I would like to have one for our Robinson, but this is the first one I have ever seen for sale.

It’s currently listed on Gunbroker, but unfortunately the listing is for an entire rifle. Not just the BREN Kit. So…we won’t be making an offer.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Aussies in ‘Nam had some Brens, fun to shoot with those off-set sights, good weapon.

I see the kit also includes the “offset” sights! Didn’t they sell some of these to a few nations in Africa, and I wonder if they included this top loading kit with them? I think you guys are going to be looking for a while, unless there is a kit sitting in some old box in a gun shop somewhere… It looks cool, but with that mag loaded and balanced on top like that, I would think it would be very unwieldy with no bi-pod for it to rest on.
